That will give you a rough surface in the area to be touched up. You can match it to the rest of the knife with flat black spray paint, or black spray on teflon. You can try cold blue, but it isn't going to look anything like a dark gray parkerizing, and will usually leave permanent stains in the parkerizing around where you apply it.

If the metal is not bead blasted before processing, the finish will have a slight shiny appearance.
